Things to do in Tulum

1. The most important, and probably the main reason to visit this place, are the asadasa Mayan ruins of Tulum, whose "Castillo del Mar" is one of the most typical postcards of the Riviera Maya.

2. Sunsets, one of the things to admire in Tulum. The sunsets in Tulum are very famous and the light in Mexico is something indescribable! So when the sun sets, stay and watch the free show, of course always with a claw in hand.

3. Antojitos La Chiapaneca There are many options for trying Mexican specialties. If your budget is a little tighter, we recommend tacos, a gringa or torta, at Antojitos La Chiapaneca, one of the best and cheapest places in Tulum. The best thing? The gringa arrachera!

4. Ruins of Coba One of Tulum's strengths is its location, from which many excursions are possible. One of the most famous is to the Ruins of Coba, featuring one of the tallest Mayan pyramids in Mexico.

If you prefer the charm of nature to Mayan architecture, do not hesitate to devote a day to visiting the Sian Ka'an ReserveThis is the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean and one of the most beautiful places in the entire area.

Here you will find incredible beaches, coral reefs, cenotes and plenty of activities to enjoy

6Caleta Tankha Caleta Tankha If you are among those who are always looking for new and attractive places to visit and learn about, Tankah is a beautiful area of the Riviera Maya that you cannot miss. There, besides enjoying its beautiful beach, you can visit its magical cenote.

7. Grand Cenote The Grand Cenote is a place for snorkeling and swimming, in a natural environment; the cenote consists of a large cave, a cavern and open parts, to facilitate visiting and having fun the place is equipped with wooden platforms for walking and enjoying nature.

8. Laguna de Yal Ku On the border between Tulum and Playa del Carmen lies one of Akumal's great hidden treasures: the lagoon of Yal Ku, a small inlet that flows into the sea and lends itself to an afternoon spent in its calm waters.

In addition to its beautiful Caribbean landscape, the place houses a sculpture garden, a restaurant with Mexican appetizers, and rental of equipment for diving or snorkeling; the site also has parking, shower service among others.

9. Playa Xcacel Xcacel Beach is a beautiful white sand beach that is part of a large protected nature reserve among palm trees and mangroves

From May to October it is a sea turtle nesting site, and from mid-September to late November turtle release activities are organized. It is a snorkeling and diving paradise because there is a reef just 50 meters from the beach and a wreck to the south. The Xcacelito cenote is 200 meters from the shore, with cool, crystal-clear water surrounded by mangroves.

10. Party in Tulum Tulum is one of the most popular party destinations in Mexico, but in a completely different atmosphere than Playa del Carmen and Cancun.

I recommend the Batey - Mojito & Guarapo Bar and its passion fruit mojito, delicious!

Every day there is live music and a super atmosphere with travelers from all over the world.

One of the best places to party in Tulum is the Papaya Playa Project, a boutique hotel on the beach.

You can go during the day to relax on the beach or at night to attend one of their DJ events.
